College: The Great Experience...Or is it?

I am two weeks into my first year at a university, and I don't know if it is just me, the location, or the school, but I am not seeing it as the great experience everyone says it is. The time I feel the most happy with my situation is when I am sitting all alone in the library...Ipod in the ears and studying. I have never been one for drinking and partying, and I am not a huge fan of the environment. Is it normal to feel so out of place at school? I am just not sure whether it is the place or me. I would like to try something different, but I don't want to be stuck in the same situation somewhere else, but how I see it is why stay stuck somewhere unhappy...search for something that makes you happy even if that is a thousand miles away.
